It’s so relatable when you meet someone new and instantly forget their name. Your point about the brain’s priorities being off-track is hilarious but true! Instead of focusing on the name, our mind gets overwhelmed with all these other thoughts. That’s why it’s so hard to retain something so simple when there’s so much else happening in the background.

What do you think would happen if we made a conscious effort to only focus on the person’s name in that moment? Would it make remembering easier?
